I will call this picture “Footloose Returns” because it reminds me of the movie, “Footloose.” I just remember the dancing scene that started off the classic movie that would have to be one of my favorites.
You probably want to know the point of this post in a blog about the college life. Well let me tell you this event had several important people from our own campus, President Dr. Larry Minks and Dell McLain (Art Communication Theater [ACT] Department Chair) just to name a few.
Southeastern dance team kicked off the show with their new number featuring the hit song "Imma Be" by the Black Eyed Peas. This is one organization that is trying to get their name out there.
One of the judges holding his number star up high for the audience to see. ACT Department Chair, Dell McLain, is the judge that has the say to tell the everybody who is the best.
The first contest was President Dr. Larry Minks and his dancing partner, Joan Hannan, danced to one of the classic swing dance.
Southeastern student, Julia Castro, also was a contributor to the event. She help her dancing partner, David Keese, with the moves that could possibly help them win the title.
Southeastern dance instructor, Jenni Wells, dance with the grace. Her partner was the principal of Durant Elementary school.
